The Downtown Neighborhood Association
The Downtown Neighborhood association began as a way for the businesses, non-profits, and residents of the Richmond Arts District to come together and advocate for the region. You can learn more about them here! They host the First Friday’s Art Walk through a Communications Officer and social media support. Venture Richmond
Venture Richmond, Inc., is a non-profit organization formed to engage business and community leaders in partnering with the City to enhance the vitality of the community, particularly Downtown, through economic development, marketing, promotion, advocacy and events. Venture Richmond provides enhanced property management services for Downtown, the Riverfront and Manchester including; the Clean & Safe program, beautification and landscaping projects and management and maintenance of Brown's Island, the Canal Walk and Belle Isle parking lot.
Venture Richmond Events, LLC, produces Friday Cheers, the 2nd Street Festival, the Richmond Folk Festival, and partners with Sports Backers to produce Dominion Energy Riverrock.
Riverfront Canal Cruises, LLC, operates historically narrated boat tours and private charters of the James River and Kanawha Canal.
Historic Jackson Ward Association
This community consists of a diverse set of individuals; students, artists, musicians, faculty and professionals from all walks of life who, furthermore, recognize and appreciate the experiences that an urban environment can provide, as well as the unique talents that diversity brings.
The Association is committed to developing an awareness of their history, to preserving a significant Richmond neighborhood, and to integrating their history into the modern day experience. They organize a holiday get together, neighborhood clean ups and safety activations and so much more.
